Privacy Policy

Atoll Cam ("we", "our") operates a live camera network streaming public views of islands, harbours, beaches and weather across the Maldives. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit atollcam.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate region, device type and session duration. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Camera interactions. When you play a stream, we count a view ("hit") and show live viewer numbers. Ratings you leave on a camera are stored against an anonymous browser identifier — no account, name or email is required.

Contact messages. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send, and use it only to respond.

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings, and learn more in Google's Privacy & Terms documentation.

We also use a small number of functional cookies and local storage entries to remember preferences such as your admin session and player settings.

Our cameras are pointed at public places — harbours, beaches, streets and lagoons — to share the beauty and weather of the Maldives. We do not operate cameras in private spaces, and we do not run facial recognition or track individuals. Snapshots are retained for a limited period to power the replay and timelapse features, then removed automatically.

We do not sell personal information. Data is processed by the service providers that run the site — our hosting and database platform, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense — each under their own privacy terms.

You can browse Atoll Cam without providing any personal information. You may disable cookies in your browser, use an ad blocker, or opt out of personalised ads through Google Ads Settings. If you have contacted us and want your message deleted, email us and we will remove it.

Questions about this policy? Reach us through the contact page or at ASHIROID Labs, Maldives. We may update this policy as the network grows; the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
